How to Set Up and Activate Lockers

Learn how to set up lockers in your CleanCloud account to enhance contactless service and streamline operations.

Thinking about starting with lockers? Don’t worry, CleanCloud has got you covered! CleanCloud makes it easy to manage locker workflows at one or multiple locations by offering three types of locker operations: Non-Integrated, Fully Integrated, and Drop Locations. Here’s a quick breakdown of each:

  • Non-Integrated Lockers: Customers use the CleanCloud app to create orders and notify you when they’ve used a locker. Your staff can then automatically send customers a notification via SMS or email with locker details and codes once their order is ready for pickup.

  • Fully Integrated Lockers: With these, you can choose CleanCloud's partner to automate the workflow between your lockers and CleanCloud. Customers just enter their phone number and password on the locker screen to drop off or pick up their clothes. Orders are automatically created in your account for your driver to pick up. Once the clothes are ready, customers can retrieve their items from the locker using their login.

  • Drop Location: This option allows customers to create orders at a locker location without needing to provide a specific locker number.


How to Set Up Lockers

1. Navigate to Settings → Admin → Pickup and Delivery → Lockers.

2. Click Add Locker to add a new locker location.

3. Fill in the required fields:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Locker Type (Regular, Smart Locker or Drop Location)

    • For Drop Location Setup: Ensure to add the number #1 for the Number of Lockers, Min, and Max Locker Number. This will still require the customer to add the number 1 while placing a new order.

  • Number of Lockers

  • Min Locker Number

  • Max Locker Number

  • Route # Override

  • Active

  • Has Custom Delivery Fee

  • Instructions to Customer: Provide tips or guidance for customers creating locker orders.

4. Customize Delivery Fee and Minimum Order Amount in Additional Settings.


How to Activate Lockers

Once configured, activate Lockers by going to Settings → Admin → Store Settings → Services Offered.

Once activated, lockers will appear as an order type in the customer app and on the web booking tool, regardless of the order flow used.
