Many cleaners may need to adjust pricing before an order is processed due to unforeseen upcharges. To accommodate this, we recommend enabling the Detailing stage and setting the payment type to Pay on Collection. This way, customers only pay the final price, avoiding the hassle of multiple payments if prices change.
1. How to Create an Order
When a customer arrives to place their order, enter their name and select the garments or services. Additional details, such as upcharges or notes, can be added during the detailing process.
If you're using heat seals already assigned to garments, simply scan the heat seal to add the item to the order.
2. Detailing an Order
The Detailing stage allows dry cleaners to inspect garments, add notes, or include upcharges. To move an item from the Detail stage to the Cleaning page, make the necessary changes and submit the order.
To edit an order, click the middle part of a line item to bring up the editing page. Select Show All Items if you want to edit all the items on the receipt at once.
If you're using heat seals, you can add new ones at this stage by scanning the ID into the garment and ticking the New option.
3. Moving an Item After It’s Been Cleaned
Once an item is cleaned and processed, click the Cleaned button and assign a rack location (if racks are enabled). The item will move to the Ready page, and the customer will be notified that their order is ready for pickup.
📌 Note: Customer notifications are only sent if enabled in Settings → Admin → Notifications.
Final adjustments should be made at this stage. If you have an integrated payment processor, you can enable auto-charging of a saved card once the order moves from Cleaning to Ready. Go to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payments to enable this feature.
4. Completing an Order
When the order is ready for collection and payment, you can search for the order by typing the customer’s name in the CRM or by finding their name and order ID on the Ready page.
Click Payment and select the customer’s preferred payment method.
📌 Note: If the customer has already paid, the button will show as Collect, indicating the final step is to complete the order.
Once the payment is processed, the order will be marked as Completed and removed from the main menus.
