Due to many cleaners needing to change pricing before an order is processed, we recommend having the 'Detailing' stage turned on as well as the payment type as 'Pay on Collection'. This way, customers will only have to worry about paying the final price instead of having to go through the trouble of paying again if the pricing changes due to unforeseen upcharges.

1. How to Create An Order

Once a customer has arrived and wants to place their order, you must type in their name and select their garments or service. Other details such as upcharges, notes, etc can be done during the detailing process.

If you are using heat seals that have already been entered, you can simply scan the heat seal to add it to the order.

2. Detailing an Order

Detailing is a stage in which dry cleaners inspect each garment carefully to make notes or add upcharges. To move an item from Detail to the Cleaning page, you must select 'Detail' and submit the order after making the necessary changes.

To edit an order, click on the middle part of a line item and it will bring up the editing page. On the editing page, click 'Show All Items' if you want to edit all your items on the receipt at once.

If you are using heat seals, you can add new ones during this stage as well. Just scan the ID into the garment when editing the item and tick off 'New'.

3. How to Move An Item After It’s Been Cleaned

After an item has been cleaned and processed, all you need to do is click the 'Cleaned' button and select the rack location if you have racks enabled. Once done, it will move to the 'Ready' page and notify the customer to pick up their order.

Note: The notification will only tell the customer if you have it turned on under Settings > Admin > Notifications.

Please note that any final changes you wish to make should be done here. If you have an integrated payment processor, you can select the ability to auto-charge a saved card once it has crossed from Cleaning to Ready. Go to Settings > Admin > Payments & Finances > Payments to find this.

4. Completing An Order

Once an order is ready to be collected and paid, you can search for the order by going into your CRM and typing your customer name in. You can pull up their outstanding orders this way or you can go to the ready page and find their name and order ID.

Click 'Payment' and select their payment method.

Note: If a customer has already paid somehow then the button will show as 'Collect' to notify the store that it’s the final step to complete.

Once done the order will then be stored as completed and disappear from the main menus.
