With a CleanCloud Pro, Grow, or Grow+ subscription, you can define service areas in your Pickup & Delivery settings, ensuring your customers fall within designated routes. This will benefit you and your business by ensuring your customers are within the routes you have set up.
Creating a Route
To create a new route, follow these simple steps:
Navigate to Settings > Admin > Pickup and Delivery > Routes > Add Route.
Enter a name for your route and press 'Submit' to save the changes.
Once the route is created, you can start customizing it:
Under the GeoFence column, locate the View and Edit buttons. To create a route or service area, click 'View' and then 'Add GeoFence'.
A map will be displayed, providing two options for defining your service area:
You can opt for a preset radius circle (3, 5, 10, or 15-mile circle), ideal for stores utilizing DoorDash with delivery mile restrictions.
Alternatively, draw a custom shape by clicking points on the map. Begin by selecting a starting point and clicking again to outline the boundaries of your GeoFence. Continue this process to create the desired shape.
Once your service area is defined, click 'Save GeoFence to Route'.
💡 Pro Tip: For efficient GeoFence creation, sketch a rough outline of your desired service area. Adjust the shape using the dots on the GeoFence and zoom in/out with the + or - symbols to ensure precise coverage.
Editing the Route
To add time slots for customer bookings, follow these steps:
Click the Edit icon next to the route you wish to adjust.
On the new page, customize the route, including:
Time Slots
Closed Dates
Price Lists
Repeat Pickups Price List
Geofence Type: Regular (Draw on Map) or 'By Zip Code' (learn more in our Zip Codes for Geofences article).
Custom Delivery Fee
Custom Minimum Amount
Custom Turnaround Time
After making changes, click 'Submit' to save them.
⏱️ Time Slots: Once the 'Start' time has passed, customers can't book that time slot. For example, if it's 7:05 am, a slot from 7 am to 1 pm won't be available. Consider breaking longer slots into smaller increments for better availability.
This will only be applicable if, under Admin > Settings > Pickup & Delivery > Pickup/Delivery Options > 'Allow Pickups From', you select both 'Today' and 'Anytime'.
Deactivating a Route
If you no longer need a route or want to temporarily disable it, follow these steps:
Edit the route as described above.
Disable the 'Active' toggle to deactivate the route.
Please note that the system doesn't allow permanent deletion of routes. If needed, contact support for assistance.
