If you sell retail orders, for example you sell soap, powder or lint rollers to your customers, then you may wish to use Retail orders.

When you mark an order as a retail order, the order will skip the CLEAN and READY pages and also disable notifications for that order.

Create a Retail Only Section

This is the easiest method to use when selling retail products in store, you can create a new section under Settings > Products > Sections and name it 'Retail'

This will automatically skip the clean and ready pages, as the system will recognise it is a retail item.

*If a section has been made retail, if it detects a non-retail item in the order it will show a blue notification that it's turned off the Retail switch due to it being mixed order.*

Activate Retail Orders Checkbox

  1. Settings > Admin > Workflow > General Settings

  2. Find 'Enable Retail Orders' and turn switch it on

Make an Order Retail

  1. When creating an order on the New Order page, click on the upward facing arrow next to the submit button. Under the payment title, you will be able to mark the order as Retail.

  2. You will see that when you activate this option it changes the notification method to Do Not Notify.

  3. the order is in Retail "override mode", nothing you do when you add items to an order can make it a non-retail order unless you manually turn it off being a Retail order at the Retail switch.

Retail Order without Customer Information

Sometimes with retail orders you don't need or want to create or enter a customer's details. To speed this process up you can create a customer with the name of Retail.

Track Stock Inventory

You can track stock levels for retail products by following our Inventory guide.
