Change Owner | Ownership of CleanCloud account

Everything you need to know about changing the store ownership.

If your store is going to have a new owner take over the operation, then you will need to decide from the below 2 options on how you would like to proceed with the ownership of the CleanCloud account:

  • Option 1 - Hand over the existing store in CleanCloud to the new owner. (Recommended)

  • Option 2 - Set up a fresh new store/subscription, and cancel the existing account.

Option 1 - Handing over the existing store to the new owner (Recommended)

  1. First, to change the account's admin, create the new owner as a user in the system. This can be done by going to Settings > Users, and then clicking on the create user button. Make sure you add a name, email address, password and quick pin.

  2. Second, you will need to change the card details over to the new owner so as to ensure you are no longer charged for this, go to Settings > Admin > Admin Tools, then click on the 'Update Card Details' button and have the new owner enter their card details.

  3. Finally, please email the support team at [email protected] informing them of the above changes. The support team can then change the admin of the account to the new user and ensure the billing aspect is in play.

This option is great if you would like to keep all orders, products and customers within the system.


Please ensure you update card details when changing ownership of the store - if you do not and the payment fails, you will be at risk of your account being cancelled.


Please note that with this option, although onboarding is not required, it is still recommended to ensure that the new owner gets any necessary training prior to going live. If you would like a paid onboarding session, please email [email protected].

Option 2 - Setting up a fresh new store and subscription

This is for the new owner to follow:

  1. Head to our website - https://cleancloudapp.com/.

  2. Click on the 'Sign Up' button.

  3. Enter the company and owner details.

  4. Click on the start free trial button.

  5. Once the account has been created, it is vital that you convert your trial account with us so you can go live with the software. To see what each subscription plan entails, click on this link: https://cleancloudapp.com/pricing.

Once you convert your account, you will need to opt for an onboarding package to get everything up and running.


Please note that with this option, you will be required to choose the relevant onboarding package for you when you sign up for your store. This will also help you ensure that all the key settings in the new account are configured correctly. Once you choose your onboarding package you will be assigned an onboarding specialist to assist with your setup/training.


For the previous owner:

Please cancel your old account in this case, and add the reason 'Change of ownership - new owner converted under (insert store name)'.
