Step 1: Getting the IP Address of the Printer
Ensure the printer is connected via an Ethernet cable to your router/modem.
Turn the Star webPRNT printer off using the on/off switch.
Hold down the FEED button on the front of the printer.
While holding the FEED button, turn the printer on and continue holding until you hear a beep, then release the button.
The printer will print two sheets of paper. The IP address, default gateway, and subnet mask will be printed at the bottom of the second sheet.
If the printer does not print two sheets, turn it off, hold the FEED button until you hear two beeps, then release it.
Step 2: Assign a Static IP Address for the Printer
⚠️ Note: This step should be done at the location where the printer will be used.
A static IP address ensures the printer retains the same IP every time it turns on.
Enter the printer's IP from Step 1 into a web browser (e.g.,
http://192.168.xxx.xxx
).Log in using the default username root and password public.
In the left menu, click on IP Parameters, then select Static IP.
Enter a new static IP address for the printer (e.g., 192.168.1.250 or 10.0.0.250). We recommend using a high number like 250 to avoid conflicts with other devices.
Enter the subnet mask and default gateway of your router, as indicated on the printout from Step 1.
Click Submit.
In the left menu, select Save, then Save > Configuration Printing > Restart Device, and click Execute.
Step 3: Entering the Static IP Address into CleanCloud
Log into your CleanCloud account.
Go to Settings → Hardware → Receipt Printer.
Select Star webPRNT (http) under Receipt Printer Manufacturer Type.
Enter the static IP address you assigned in the IP Address field.
Ensure to click the Update button to save your changes.
✅ Your Printer is Ready to Use!
Try creating an order to test the printer and ensure everything is working smoothly.
