How to Set Up Your Epson TM-m30 (Ethernet / LAN) Receipt Printer
⚠️ Ethernet Warning ⚠️
Although Ethernet printers are compatible, their connection can be unstable and may disrupt integrated payments. For better stability and reliability, we recommend using a USB connection whenever possible.
Getting Started
Connecting Everything
Turn Off the Printer: Use the on/off switch on the Epson printer to turn it off.
Connect to the Network:
Ensure the printer is loaded with paper.
Connect the printer to your internet router using an Ethernet cable.
Make sure the printer and the devices you want to print from are on the same network.
Turn On the Printer: Once the printer is powered on and connected to the network, it will print a DHCP self-test page. This page will include important details like the IP Address, default gateway, and subnet mask.
Note the IP Address: Take note of the IP Address printed on the self-test page. You will need this information for further setup.
Assign the Printer a Static IP Address
Only complete this step if you are at the location where the printer will be used. If the printer is being set up elsewhere, skip to the "Entering the IP Address into CleanCloud" section.
Access the Printer Settings: Open your web browser and enter the current IP address of the printer into the URL bar.
Bypass Security Warning: Your browser might display a warning that the page is not secure. Click Proceed Anyway—this is normal for network printers and not a cause for concern.
Log In to the Printer: You will be prompted for a username and password:
Username: epson
Password: epson
Set a Static IP Address:
In the left menu, click TCP/IP.
Set the IP Address to Manual.
Enter the static IP address that you want the printer to use and click Submit at the bottom of the page.
On the next screen, click Reset to finalize the settings.
Entering the IP Address into CleanCloud
Log in to your CleanCloud account and go to Settings → Hardware to access your printer settings.
Under Receipt Printer Manufacturer Type, select Epson Intelligent (http). Ensure you do not select the (https) option.
Enter the IP address you assigned to the printer in the IP Address field.
Press Update to save the changes.
✅ Your Printer is Ready to Use!
Try creating an order to test the printer and ensure everything is working smoothly.
⚠️ Troubleshooting
