How to Set Up Your Epson TM-T88V Receipt Printer

📌 Note: These steps are for setting up the Epson TM-T88V using a USB Connection.

What You Need

  • USB Type-B Cable (as shown in the image below).

  • QZTray Installed: Ensure that QZTray is already installed and set up on your PC. We recommend using our related QZTray Setup Article to confirm it’s fully installed.

Getting Started

Connecting Everything

  1. Connect your Epson TM-T88V to the computer using the USB cable.

  2. Plug in the power cord to the printer, but make sure the power switch is in the OFF position at first.

  3. Once everything is connected and the computer is turned on, switch the printer ON.

    • The printer will make some initialization sounds.

    • Ensure there is no ERROR light illuminated on the printer.

Downloading and Installing the Driver

    • Agree to the Software License to proceed.

    • Download the EPSON Advanced Printer Driver 4.

  1. Install the Driver: Once downloaded, unzip the file by right-clicking and selecting Extract All.

  2. Run the Installer: Open the unzipped folder and double-click on the first "APD Installer" to start the installation.

    • Follow the instructions on-screen and agree to the License Agreement.

    • When prompted, select USB to add the printer.

    • You’ll have the option to Print a Test Page—do this to confirm the printer is connected, and that paper is installed correctly.

  3. After installation, check that Epson TM-T88V appears in Control Panel → Devices and Printers.

What's Next? Restart QZTray

Now that both the Printer Drivers and QZTray are installed, you need to restart QZTray:

  1. Locate QZTray in the system tray at the bottom right of your screen.

  2. Right-click the QZTray icon and select Quit.

  3. Use the Search Bar on your taskbar (located at the bottom left or middle) to search for QZTray, and then open it again.

Configuring the Printer in CleanCloud

  1. Log into your CleanCloud account.

  2. Go to Settings → Hardware.

  3. Scroll down to the Receipt Printer section.

  4. Select Epson / Samsung Bixolon as the printer manufacturer.

  5. Click on Find Printer and choose your installed printer from the list.

  6. You can also activate additional settings like Auto Print Receipt and Print Barcode.

  7. Press the Update button. If this is your first time installing a printer, a box will appear asking for permission for CleanCloud to communicate with QZTray.

  8. Check Always Allow and press OK.

✅ Your Printer is Ready to Use!

Try creating an order to test the printer and ensure everything is working smoothly.
