This article will guide you through the setup process of the Star SP700 webPRNT Printer for use with CleanCloud.
Getting the IP Address of the Printer
Ensure the printer is connected by an Ethernet cable to your Router/Modem.
Turn off the Star webPRNT printer using the on/off switch.
Hold down the feed button on the front of the printer.
Turn the printer on while continuing to hold the feed button until you hear a beep, then release it.
The printer will print two pieces of paper. At the bottom of the second page, you will find the IP address, default gateway, and subnet mask.
If the printer does not print the two pieces of paper, turn it off, then hold the feed button until you hear two beeps and let go.
Assign Static IP Address for the Printer
⚠️ Note: Only perform this step if you are at the location where you will be using the printer.
Assigning a static IP ensures that the printer retains the same IP address every time it is powered on.
Enter the printer IP from Step 1 into a web browser (e.g.,
http://192.168.xxx.xxx
).Log in using the default username "root" and password "public."
Click IP Parameters in the left menu, and select Static IP.
Enter the new static IP address for the printer (e.g., 192.168.1.250 or 10.0.0.250). It is recommended to set the last number to a high number like 250 to avoid conflicts with other devices.
Enter the subnet mask and the default gateway from the printout in Step 1.
Click Submit.
In the left menu, select System Configuration. Enter 30 into the text field for Web Refresh Interval Time. Set #9100 Multi-Session to Enabled and #9100 Data Timeout to 30.
Select Save in the left menu, then Save > Configuration Printing > Restart Device, and click Execute.
Entering the Static IP Address into CleanCloud
Log in to CleanCloud and navigate to Settings → Hardware → Garment Tag Printer.
Select Star webPRNT (HTTP) under Printer Manufacturer Type.
Enter the Static IP Address you assigned into the IP Address field.
Click the Update button to save your changes.
✅ Your Printer is Ready to Use!
Try creating an order to test the printer and ensure everything is working smoothly.
Troubleshooting
IP Address Issues: Check that the IP address is correct. Repeat Step 1 to verify the printer's IP address matches the one entered on the Settings → Hardware → Garment Tag Printer page in CleanCloud.
Printer Manufacturer Settings: Ensure the printer manufacturer is set to Star SP700 webPRNT. It should not be set to HTTPS unless you have configured a special certificate for your printer and upgraded the firmware.
