STEP 1: Get IP address of the printer

  1. Make sure the printer is connected by ethernet cable to your Router / Modem.

  2. Turn the Star webPRNT printer off using the on/off switch on the printer.

  3. Hold down the feed button on the front of the printer, turn the printer on and keep holding the feed button until you a beep from the printer and then let go.

  4. The printer will print two pieces of paper. At the bottom of the second piece will be the IP address of the printer, as well as the default gateway and subnet mask.

  5. If it does not print the two pieces of paper try turning the printer off, then hold the feed button until you hear two beeps from the printer and then let go.

STEP 2: Assign Static IP Address for Printer

  1. You should only do this step if you are at the actual location where you will be using the printer.

  2. Assigning a static IP is useful as it means the printer will not be allocated a new IP address everytime it turns off and on.

  3. Enter the printer IP from step 1 into a web browser Eg http://192.168.xxx.xxx

  4. Log in using the default username "root", password "public".

  5. Click IP parameters in the left menu, select static IP. Enter the new static IP address of the printer. (Eg. 192.168.1.250 or 10.0.0.250). We recommend you set the last number a high number like 250 so that other devices will not try to use a similar IP. Enter subnet mask and the default gateway of your router from the printout from step 1. Then click submit.

  6. Click System configuration in the left menu. Enter 30 into the text field for Web Refresh Interval time. set #9100 multi session to Enabled and #9100 Data Timeout to 30.

  7. Click Save in the left menu, select Save > Configuration printing > Restart Device and press Execute.

STEP 3: Enter Static IP address into CleanCloud

  1. Login to CleanCloud and go to the Settings > Hardware page

  2. Select Star webPRNT http under Garment Tag Manufacturer Type

  3. Enter the Static IP address you assigned into the IP address field and press the Update button

  4. Printer is ready to use. Try making a dummy order.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Check that the IP address is correct. Repeat STEP 1 to get the IP address of the printer and check that it matches the IP address you have entered on the Settings > Hardware > Garment Tag Printer page in CleanCloud

Make sure that the printer manufacturer is set to Star SP700 webPRNT. It should not be set to the https unless you have setup a special certificate for your printer and upgraded the firmware.
