Overview

Our Google Maps integration went live on August 6th, 2025. If you were a CleanCloud customer before this date, your account may already be matched to your Google Business Profile, which is required for the Book online button to appear.

If you’re a new customer, or if your store hasn’t been matched yet, follow the steps below to check your setup.

Matching your Google listing

To be eligible for the integration, the following fields in Settings → Admin → Store Settings → Store Info must exactly match your Google Maps listing:

  • Company name

  • Store address — make sure to fill in the fields Street address, Zip/Post code, City, and State (if applicable)

  • Telephone number

  • Website URL

Other requirements:

  • Your logo must clearly show your business name.

  • Pickup & Delivery must be enabled. Check this under Settings → Admin → Store Settings → Services and Delivery → Pickup and Delivery (toggle must be on).

  • The Customer order flow cannot be Quick book with no selecting of services/items. To change this, go to Settings → Admin → Pickup and Delivery → General Settings, and check the dropdown menu in the Customer order flow field.

How it works

When customers search Google or Google Maps for terms like laundry or dry cleaning near me, local results are shown based on their location.

With this integration, your store’s Google listing can display a Book online button. Customers can schedule an order directly from Google Maps without visiting your website or downloading an app.

Promotional best practices

This feature works quietly in the background to capture orders from people browsing Google or Google Maps. It positions your business as convenient—allowing customers to book without extra steps.

We recommend letting customers know about this option, especially if they haven’t tried Pickup & Delivery yet. For example: “Now you can book your laundry pickup directly from Google Maps!”

Consider adding a small poster in your store window to raise awareness and stand out from competitors.

FAQs

1. Why does the Book online button open the CleanCloud Customer App instead of my branded app?

If you test the button and it opens the CleanCloud Customer App, it’s because the app is installed on your device. By default, booking links will open in the installed app. The primary goal of the integration is to capture new customers directly from Google—regardless of which app they use.

2. Why is the Book online button missing even though my information matches?

Your account must use one of these customer order flows for Pickup & Delivery:

  • Customer only selects services

  • Allow customer to select items/garments

Note: If your account uses the Quick book flow (without selecting services or items), the Book online button will not appear. To change this, go to Settings → Admin → Pickup and Delivery → General Settings, and check the dropdown menu in the Customer order flow field.

3. How can I confirm my setup is correct?

Search for your store name and location in Google Maps (e.g., Google Maps). If you see a 📆 Book online button on your listing, the integration is working.

4. I’ve done all the steps and the button still doesn’t show—what should I do?

Contact CleanCloud support for assistance. We’ll verify your setup and work with you to resolve the issue.

5. I don’t want the Google Book Online button to appear—what should I do?

If you prefer not to appear on Google, contact support. Our tech team can manually remove the button from visibility.
