Easily create and assign release forms to receipts and products, ensuring customers acknowledge terms before completing their orders.

Easily add an Owner’s Risk Release Form (Terms & Conditions) to receipts and automatically assign it to specific products. This guide walks you through setting up and managing release forms.


Creating a Release Form

To include a release form on receipts or display it on the POS screen, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Hardware → Receipt Printer → Release Forms and click Add.

  2. Enter a Title and Description in the provided fields.

  3. Choose where to display it:

    • Customer Copy (printed receipt)

    • Store Copy

    • On-Screen (POS display)

  4. Optional: Enable ‘Release Form on First Order’ to automatically include the release form in a customer’s first order.

  5. Press Submit to save your changes.

🪄 Tip: To edit an existing release form, click the Edit (pencil) icon. You can create multiple release forms as needed.


Digital Release Form Sign on POS

By enabling ‘On-Screen Sign’, the POS will prompt a ‘Sign Release Form’ screen during checkout.

  1. Go to Settings → Hardware → Receipt Printer → Release Forms → Release Form on First Order to enable it.

Customers can sign the form directly on-screen using:

  • A mouse cursor (on a computer).

  • Touchscreen functionality (on tablets and iPads).


Adding Release Forms to Receipts

To manually include a release form with an order:

  1. On the New Order page, scroll down and click the upward-facing arrow.

  2. Click the dropdown under ‘No release form’ to view available release forms.

  3. Select the appropriate release form for the order.

📌 The release form will automatically appear on the printed receipt.


Assigning Release Forms to Products

Automatically attach a release form to specific products, ensuring customers are informed about potential risks.

Example: Assign a release form for delicate items like wedding dresses or specialty garments.

Steps to Assign a Release Form to a Product

  1. Create the release form (as outlined above).

  2. Go to Settings → Products.

  3. Select the product you want to link to the release form.

  4. Under ‘Release Form’, use the dropdown to assign the form.

🛠️ Once linked, the release form will automatically be included with that product’s order.


Enabling Release Forms on Digital Receipts

To ensure release forms are included in digital receipts:

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Notifications → Email/SMS.

  2. Enable ‘Send Link to Digital Receipt’ to send release forms via Email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

📌 This ensures customers receive the release form even if they opt for digital receipts instead of printed ones.
