Digital Receipts 101

Set up digital receipts via email, SMS, or WhatsApp, enable online payments, and add QR codes for easy customer access.

Enhance your customer experience by setting up digital receipts. Digital receipts are automatically sent when an order is marked Cleaned and Ready for collection or delivery. Additionally, you can manually send them at any time using the Send Receipt function. Follow these steps to configure email, SMS, or WhatsApp notifications, enable online payments, and add QR codes to customer receipts.


Send Link to Digital Receipt

Easily provide customers with a digital receipt link by customising notification preferences:

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Notifications → General Settings.

  2. Under 'Send Notifications for', select when to send the link (e.g., order creation or when orders are ready). [Learn more here].

  3. Click Submit to save changes.

📌 Note: Digital receipts cannot be sent for multiple orders via SMS due to the 160-character limit. However, emails have no character limit and can include multiple orders.


Notification Setup

Email Setup

To send digital receipt links via email:

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Notifications → Email.

  2. Enable Send Link to Digital Receipt.

  3. Click Submit to save changes.


SMS Setup

To send digital receipt links via SMS:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Admin → Notifications → SMS.

  2. Enable Send Link to Digital Receipt.

  3. Click Submit to save changes.

💬 Purchase SMS credits in Settings → Admin → Notifications → SMS → SMS Credits → Buy SMS Credits to ensure uninterrupted service.


WhatsApp Setup

To send digital receipt links via WhatsApp:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Admin → Notifications → WhatsApp.

  2. Enable Send Link to Digital Receipt.

  3. Click Submit to save changes.

Resending a Digital Receipt

You can send digital receipts for any order, whenever needed:

  1. Open the Order Summary Popup for the relevant order.

  2. Click the Send Receipt button.

  3. Choose the method to send the receipt: Email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

  4. For internal use, click View Receipt to open it. You can print or save it as a PDF using your browser settings.


Online Payment Option

With online payment integration, customers can pay via the digital receipt link they receive through email or SMS. They can choose to "Add Card" or "Pay With Saved Card" under Pay for Your Order.

📌 Note: If payment is allowed only when the order is in Ready status, the receipt will display: "Payment will be available once the order has been cleaned or completed".


PayPal

Payment links for PayPal are sent only via email notifications. Customers receive a digital receipt link and can select "Pay by PayPal" to complete the payment. If you only use SMS notifications, the payment link will default to online card processors.


QR Code Setup

To add QR codes to customer receipts for easy access to digital receipts:

  1. Go to Settings → Hardware → Receipt Printer.

  2. Enable the Print QR for E-Receipt option.

  3. Click Submit to save your changes.

📌 Note: QR codes can only be printed on thermal receipt printers and are not compatible with garment tags or laser/inkjet printers.


Include Photos on Digital Receipts

Any photos uploaded via the POS or Driver App will automatically appear on digital receipts, adding clarity for customers.
