When the Prompt for Rack Location option is enabled, you can assign a rack location to an order in three ways.

1. Assign via Cleaned Button

  • Click the Cleaned button for an order.

  • A pop-up will appear, asking to Add Rack Location.

  • Enter the rack location and click Submit.

Once the rack location is assigned, the order automatically moves to the Ready page, and the customer will be notified. The rack location will be displayed in the # column on the Ready page.

2. Assign via Barcode Scanner

  • Use a barcode scanner to scan the barcode on the thermal receipt.

  • This will bring up the Rack Location prompt.

  • You can then type the rack location, or if you have barcode stickers on your racks, simply scan the rack barcode to assign it automatically.

Once assigned, the order moves to the Ready page, and the customer will be notified.

3. Assign Orders Directly from the Ready Page

  1. Click the Rack Orders button on the Ready page.

  2. Input the Order ID of the order you want to assign to a rack, followed by the rack location.

  3. You can assign multiple orders to different rack locations using this method.

  4. You can either type the information or scan the order receipt barcode and rack location barcode.

Improved Functionality for Racking Orders

  • If an order is sitting on the Cleaning page and you click Rack Orders on the Ready page, the order will automatically move from Cleaning to Ready, and the customer will be notified that their order is ready. This is only possible if you have the Order Cleaned and Ready notification toggle enabled in Settings → Admin → Notifications → General Settings.

  • If you try to rack an order that’s not listed in your active order list (e.g., mistakenly marked as completed), the order will be moved back to the Ready page, and you’ll hear a notification sound to alert you that the order has been restored.

This feature ensures that any mistakenly completed orders are quickly brought back to the Ready page, keeping your workflow smooth and organized.
