How to Clock In and Out

Effortless staff time tracking with CleanCloud's clock in/out feature. Manage hours and shifts seamlessly.

Learn how to use CleanCloud's clock-in and out feature for tracking staff hours and managing shifts effortlessly.

To Clock In or Out

  1. Click the circular profile icon at the top right.

  2. In the appearing box, use the green "Clock In" button to start your shift.

  3. After your shift, hit the green "Clock Out" button.

  4. For multiple shifts per day, you can clock in again to start the next one.


Require Staff to Clock In at Shift Start

Set up this feature from Settings > Admin > Store Settings > Force Staff to Clock In at the Beginning of Shift.

Pro tip: If you want to ensure the admin also clocks in, access Settings > Admin > Store Settings and toggle "Force Admin to Clock In at Beginning of Shift".


Viewing Staff Hours

Admins can check hours worked via the staff hours page. Access it at https://cleancloudapp.com/hours or navigate to Settings > Users > View Hours.

On this page, admins can also create shifts on behalf of staff, making it ideal for situations where someone forgets to clock in.


Setting Maximum Hours

Admins can set a maximum shift duration from Settings > Admin > Store Settings > Max Hours Per Shift. If a staff member exceeds this limit, they will be automatically clocked out, and an email notification is sent to the admin.

πŸ• Don't forget: Night shift workers are automatically clocked out at midnight and clocked in for the next day.
