Add Discount % or Customer Credit for Customer

Discounts and Credits can be added to a customer account when you Add or Edit their account.

Note: The member of staff must have the discount/credit permission assigned to them to be able to add credit or edit the discount % on a customer account. This is assigned on the Settings > Users page.

In this article we will cover the following points:


Adding/Editing Discount % Assigned to a Customer Account

1. Go to the New Order page.

2. Select the customer by entering their name in the Name box or the Phone Number box and selecting them from the results that appear.

3. Click the pencil icon that appears to bring up the Edit Customer Account box.

4. In this box, you will see the current Discount % assigned to the customer and you can click the Edit Discount button to change it.

5. An Edit Discount box will appear which will allow you to set the Discount % on the account. This discount percentage will apply to all future orders for the customer.

Adding Credit to a Customer Account

1. Go to the New Order page.

2. Select the customer by entering their name in the Name box or the Phone Number box and selecting them from the results that appear.

3. Click the pencil icon that appears to bring up the Edit Customer Account box.

4. In this box you will see the current credit assigned to the customer and you can click the Add Credit button to change it.

5. An Add Credit box will appear which will allow you to add credit to the account. When adding credit, your staff will also have to provide a reason for this. Have a look at the images below.

Note: Should you need to remove credit from a customer's account, you will need to enter a minus value (-).


Viewing Credit and Discount % History

You can view the history of staff credit and discount changes at the bottom of the Settings > Admin > Admin Tools page.

There you will see buttons for Credit and Discount History. Please note that the discount history only reflects when a member of staff edits the saved discount % on a customer's account. It does not pick up the discounts applied to orders.
