Clearent Hosted Payments allows you to safely store customers' credit card information for future use, a valuable feature for recurring customers and businesses with pickup and delivery services.
Note: Currently available in the US and requires the second version of CleanCloud.
Setting Up Clearent Hosted Payments
Navigate to Settings > Admin > Payments & Finances > Payments in your CleanCloud account.
Access the 'Clearent' Payment section.
Enter your Public Key and API Key in the provided fields.
Toggle the required fields based on your preference: 'Let Customers Add Credit Card in App' and 'Require Customers to Add Credit Card Before They Can Place an Order'.
Click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page.
Charging a Saved Credit Card
From the Ready Page:
On the Ready page, click on the 'Payment' button next to the order you wish to charge.
A box will appear with payment options. Click 'Pay with Saved Card (Clearent)'.
If the customer's card is stored, it will be automatically charged; otherwise, you can add their card information.
From the New Order Page:
Create or edit an order on the New order page.
Change the payment method to 'Pay with Saved Card (Clearent)'.
Click the green Submit button.
The system will charge the customer's card if it's stored; if not, you can add their card information.
From the Driver App:
Mark the order as delivered.
Click 'Pay by Card'.
Note: Ensure Clearent Hosted Payments is set up correctly in your CleanCloud account.
Adding a Credit Card to a Customer Account
On the New Order or Search page, select the relevant customer.
Click the edit pencil next to the customer's name.
In the 'Clearent Credit Card' field, select 'Add Card'.
You can type in the card details manually or utilise the 'Use Card Terminal' option, allowing the customer to insert their card for secure storage.
Adding Clearent Integration to Pickup and Delivery App
Access Settings > Admin > Payments & Finances in your CleanCloud account.
Scroll to the 'Payment' section.
Toggle the required fields based on your preference: 'Let Customers Add Credit Card in App' and 'Require Customers to Add Credit Card Before They Can Place an Order'.
Click the Update button at the bottom of the page.
