Our Clearent integration is currently available in the US and requires CleanCloud V2.
Setting Up Your In-Store Card Terminal
Follow the instructions provided with your card terminal to connect it to your network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
Turn on the terminal and wait for the "POS ONLINE" message, indicating a successful network connection.
Access your CleanCloud account using the Admin account, then go to Settings > Hardware > Payment Terminals.
In the 'Clearent Terminal API' section, input the API Key provided by your Clearent representative.
Click the Update button.
Charging a Customer Using the In-Store Card Terminal
From the New Order Page:
On the New Order page, create an order as usual, but select "Pay by Card (Clearent)" as the payment method.
After order submission, the payment amount is sent to the card terminal, with on-screen instructions.
Once the terminal completes the payment, CleanCloud displays a success message.
From the Ready Page:
Select the 'Payment' button for the order you wish to charge on the Ready page.
A box with payment options will appear; choose "Pay by Card (Clearent)".
The amount is sent to the card terminal, and on-screen instructions are provided.
After the terminal finalizes the payment, CleanCloud updates the order as paid.
Pro tip: The integration allows for tip adjustment during payment processing.
