CleanCloud supports partial payments, enabling customers to pay part of the order total when placing an order and settle the remaining balance upon pickup. This feature is compatible with multiple payment methods, including Clearent terminals and CleanCloud Pay integration, offering a seamless payment experience.
Turn on Partial Payment Support
To enable partial payment in your CleanCloud account:
Navigate to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payments.
Toggle on Allow for Partial Payment.
Press the Submit button to save changes.
Using Partial Payment
When creating a new order:
On the New Order page, after entering order details, press Submit.
Choose Partial Payment by Card or Cash.
Enter the pre-payment amount provided by the customer and confirm.
Completing a Partial Payment
When the customer comes to pick up their completed order:
Go to the Ready page and locate the order.
Click the Payment button.
The remaining balance will be displayed. Select the desired payment method to complete the transaction.
Handling Partial Payments with the Clearent Card Terminal
For CleanCloud users with a Clearent terminal, partial payments are streamlined for efficiency:
During the initial payment, the card details are securely stored in Clearent’s Virtual Terminal (VT).
At order pickup, staff can navigate to the Ready page, select Payment, and choose Card Terminal for the remaining balance.
ⓘ Key Notes for Clearent Terminal Users
No Prompt on Terminal: The second payment will not prompt manual card entry on the terminal. Instead, CleanCloud processes the remaining balance automatically using the card details stored during the first transaction.
Order Marked as Paid: Once the second payment is completed, the order is marked as fully paid and completed in the system.
Transaction Verification: You can verify transactions in Clearent’s dashboard. Each payment will have its own transaction ID to confirm separate charges.
