The inbox went through a major redesign in January 2025. Below is the introduction video showing its new features. This article has been fully updated to reflect the new features and functions.
Using the CleanCloud Inbox
The CleanCloud Inbox is a great feature that allows you to see messages from your customers and respond to them quickly and efficiently. It features a tab design that allows you to see different communication methods independently of each other.
To access your Inbox, simply click on the message icon located at the top right corner of your screen. If you have a new message, a red notification badge will appear on the icon.
The Inbox helps you keep track of new messages, enabling you to respond promptly to customers. You can also view the customer's response history if someone else has already replied, and respond directly using CleanCloud.
📌 Note: We suggest setting up a custom phone number with us. For more information on how to set up a custom phone number, please check out the article available at this link: Custom Phone Number.
Quick Actions
Deleting a Message
The CleanCloud inbox provides the convenience of deleting messages and tracking any deleted ones. Additionally, you can restore deleted messages from the deleted tab.
To delete a message, simply select it from the left-hand selector box next to the customer’s name and then click the trash can icon on the action bar above the messages.
To view any deleted messages, click the trash can icon in the tab bar to access previously deleted messages. You can also restore them from this location if necessary.
Marking as Unread / Read
Marking a message as unread to make it easier to revisit later is a straightforward process. Simply locate the message, select it using the selector box to the left of the customer’s name, and then click the Closed Envelope icon for unread and the Open Envelope icon for read on the action bar above the messages.
Batch Selecting
When clicking the selector box to the left of a customers name you're able to do select as many as you want for batch selecting. Or you can click the selector box in the action bar to select all.
Tabs Explained
The CleanCloud Inbox employs a tab-based design, ensuring incoming messages remain separate and organized. However, there’s still an All Messages tab for those who prefer to view all messages in a list format.
We’ve selected the following tabs: All Messages, SMS, Email, Push, Sent, and Deleted. Each contact method has its own unique iconography displayed in the All Messages tab, indicating the origin of the message.
