A Sender ID is the name displayed as the sender of an SMS message on a recipient's device. In certain countries, you can replace the default phone number with a custom alphanumeric Sender ID, making your brand immediately recognizable to customers.
Setting Your Custom Sender ID
To set a custom Sender ID, follow these steps:
Go to Settings → Admin → Notifications → SMS.
Enter your desired text in the Custom Sender ID/Name field.
1. Requirements
Length: Your Sender ID should be between 6 and 11 characters.
Characters: Avoid spaces, hyphens, and special characters (e.g., # or @).
Usage: Sender IDs are limited to service notifications, not promotional messages.
2. Country Availability
Custom Sender IDs are available in select countries and may require pre-registration. Check your country’s regulations to confirm eligibility.
US & Canada: Custom Sender IDs are not supported.
UK: Due to local carrier regulations, CleanCloud defaults the Sender ID to "LAUNDRY" for order updates and "GET CLEAN" for marketing messages. Contact Support if you need assistance.
