Activate your USB or Serial weight scale in CleanCloud with this step-by-step guide for seamless integration on PC and Mac.

CleanCloud supports Serial and USB HID-Compliant Weight Scales on PC. While these scales can also function on Mac, please note that the connection may be somewhat unstable.

Guide to Activating Your USB Weight Scale

  1. Install QZ Tray: Ensure you have QZ Tray installed and running on your PC or Mac. For installation instructions, refer to our QZ Tray article.

  2. Connect the Scale: Connect your scale to your computer via USB and ensure it is powered on.

  3. Access Settings: Go to Settings → Hardware and select the Weight Scale section.

  4. Select Manufacturer and Port: Choose the appropriate Manufacturer and select USB (HID-Compliant) as the port.

  5. Find Vendor ID: Click the Find Vendor ID for Scale button.

  6. Select Your Scale: From the list of devices, select your scale.

  7. Update Settings: Scroll down and press the Update button to save your changes.


Guide to Activating Your Serial Weight Scale

  1. Install QZ Tray: Ensure you have QZ Tray installed and running on your PC or Mac. For installation instructions, refer to our QZ Tray article.

  2. Connect the Scale: Connect your scale to your computer using the Serial Port or a Serial-to-USB adapter, and ensure it is powered on.

  3. Access Settings: Go to Settings → Hardware and select the Weight Scale section.

  4. Select Serial Port: Choose the correct Serial Port (e.g., COM1) that the weight scale is connected to.

  5. Update Settings: Scroll down and press the Update button to save your changes.
