This article will guide you through the process of setting up the Star Micronics mC-Print3 for wireless use with CleanCloud on a PC, Mac, iPad, or Android tablet.
Connecting to LAN
Connect an Ethernet/LAN cable to your network router. Typically, the LAN cable is connected to the same router that is providing Wi-Fi for your device (iPad for example).
Connect the other end of the LAN cable to the Ethernet port located on the printer.
Optional: Perform a "self-print" to determine the IP address of your printer.
Setting up Printer in CleanCloud
On your device, sign in to Cleancloud as an Admin. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Hardware > Receipt Printer.
Under "Printer Manufacturer/Type" select "Star webPRNT".
Under "IP Address" input the numbers that were printed in the "self-print". Normally it looks like
192.168.1.XX

Setting up Wireless Connection for mC-Print3
For wireless functionality, you'll need to purchase the Star MCW10 Wireless LAN Module separately.
This module plugs directly into the mC-Print3, providing a compact wireless LAN solution that supports the latest WPA3 standard for secure wireless printer communication.
