You can now sell store credit directly to your customers using a new product type: Credit. This feature allows you to offer promotions like “Buy $10, get $15 in store credit” by applying a simple multiplier to the product price. It’s an easy way to encourage repeat business and reward loyal customers.

How It Works

When a customer purchases a Credit product, the system automatically adds credit to their account. The amount of credit added is calculated by multiplying the product price by a multiplier that you define when setting up the product.

For example, if you create a $20 Credit product with a multiplier of 2, the customer will receive $40 in store credit after purchasing it.

This store credit is then available in their account and can be used on future orders just like any other credit.

How to Create a Credit Product

  1. Go to the Products page in your account.

  2. Click + New Product, or select an existing product to edit.

  3. In the Product Type dropdown, select Credit.

  4. Set the Multiplier. This determines how much store credit the customer will receive relative to the price of the product.

  5. Save your changes.

📌 Note: The multiplier applies to the product’s price. If the price is $10 and the multiplier is 1.5, the customer will receive $15 in credit.

What Happens When a Customer Buys Credit?

When a customer purchases a Credit product, the system automatically calculates the credit amount using the entered value and the multiplier you’ve set.

Once the purchase is complete, the full credit value is instantly applied to the customer’s account. This credit is immediately available in their balance and can be used toward future purchases, just like store credit.

Why This Matters

Using Credit products is a flexible way to drive more revenue through prepaid promotions, bonus credit offers, and other loyalty strategies. Whether you’re encouraging larger upfront purchases or rewarding returning customers, this feature gives you a simple, scalable way to manage and deliver store credit.
