A Customer-Facing Display is a great feature to improve the overall in-store customer experience, having a second display with CleanCloud enables you to display a live basket on a connected second monitor. This means that customers get to see what's being added to the basket while displaying any discounts that have been added to the order.

⚠️ Development Notice ⚠️

This feature is currently in its Phase 2 Development Stage. While it has been released, please note that we are actively working on it and making continuous improvements. We appreciate your understanding and welcome any feedback as we refine this feature.

Getting Started

To enable and set up the Customer-Facing Display, follow these straightforward steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Hardware.

  2. Select Customer Facing Screen from the far left menu bar.

  3. Enable and customise the display settings according to your preferences, then press Update to save your changes.

You're done! You have successfully enabled and configured your Customer-Facing Display.

How Do I Use It?

Once activated, you can use the Customer-Facing Display by following these steps:

  1. Open https://cleancloudapp.com/screen in a browser tab.

  2. Drag the tab to your second monitor and maximize the window.

  3. This will display a live basket on the second monitor, allowing customers to see their items and total cost as they are added.

For the best compatibility when extending the monitor:

  • Android tablets: Use an HDMI-connected monitor or the Spacedesk app.

  • iPads: Use the Sidecar feature (Note: Sidecar doesn't support touch functionality).

When the Customer Facing Display isn’t showing the current order basket, you can now use it to display Default or Custom Promotional Messages. To find out how to set this up, check out this article: Set Up Custom Promotional Messages.
