CleanCloud now offers a Two-Factor Authenticator (2FA) for added account security. This feature adds an extra layer of protection to your CleanCloud account, ensuring your data stays secure.

Navigate to User Settings: Go to Settings &gt; Users &gt; Manager User Accounts and select the user you wish to enable Two-Factor Authentication for. Click the pencil icon to edit the user.

Access 2FA: Scroll down to the 'Two-Factor Authentication' section and click the blue 'Set Up 2FA' button.

Download an Authenticator App: First, download an <a href="#h_bf7e0c48a4">authenticator app</a> from your device's app store.

Add Your Account: Use the app to scan the provided QR code to retrieve the code required for verification.

Verify Your Account: Enter the 6-digit code provided by your authenticator app and press 'Verify'. Click 'Update' to confirm the changes.

🔐 That's it! Two-factor authentication is now enabled.

Pro tip: If you can't scan the code, the system will generate a long alphanumeric key.

Logging In with Two-Factor Authentication

After entering your login credentials, a new window will appear, requesting the authenticator code.

Retrieve the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and input it into CleanCloud.

Note: Most authenticator codes are valid for 30 seconds.

If your user has set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), when <a href="https://help.cleancloud.com/en/articles/6769996-switching-between-staff-accounts">switching users via PIN</a>, the system will prompt you to enter a 6-digit code. Retrieve the code from your <a href="#h_bf7e0c48a4">authenticator app</a> and input it here.

To disable Two-Factor Authentication for an account, access the user's details via the Users page (as mentioned <a href="#h_ddc149723f">here</a>), click on the red 'Disable 2FA' button, and confirm the changes. The user will no longer need to provide the two-factor code.

Note: Only the store admin can disable the Two-Factor Authentication.

Consider using Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or Duo Mobile for added security.
