Overview
CleanCloud makes it easy to create, track, and manage both digital and physical gift cards. Gift cards can boost sales, simplify payments, and provide customers with flexible ways to pay.

Creating gift card products
Go to Settings → Products.
Click Add Product in the top right corner.
Choose Gift Card from the Product Type dropdown.
Enter the product details:
Product Name (e.g., Christmas or Easter)
Section (e.g., Retail)
Button Image for quick identification
Overlay Text for staff reference
Order (position on the New Order page)
ID/SKU for tracking
Click Add Product to complete setup.
Creating gift card orders in the POS
Digital gift cards
Select the gift card product and choose Digital.
Fill in the fields:
Customer receiving gift (select from CRM)
Amount
Gift Message
Send Gift via SMS, Email, or both
Schedule (set send date/time)
Click Submit. The gift card will be sent as scheduled and credits added to the recipient’s account.
Physical gift cards
Select the gift card product and choose Physical.
A unique code will be generated.
Enter the Amount.
Click Submit.
🪄 Tip: You can view all gift card codes and details in Settings → Admin → Discounts & Promos → Gift Cards.
Redeeming gift cards
Digital gift cards
Credits are automatically added to the recipient’s account.
When placing a new order, the balance will apply automatically.
No staff action is required unless multiple payment methods are used.
If received by email, customers must log in or create an account to claim the credit using the link provided.
Physical gift cards
Physical gift cards must be redeemed using the gift card code.
Option 1: During order creation
Go to the New Order page.
Add items to the order.
Select the Gift Card product.
Click Claim Gift at the top of the screen.
Enter the gift card code.
Option 2: After order submission
Submit the order as normal.
Go to the Payment section.
Select Gift Card under the discount options.
Enter the gift card code.
If the gift card balance is greater than the order total, the remaining balance stays as credit for future use.

View all gift card details in Settings → Admin → Discounts & Promos → Gift Cards. You’ll see:
Customer details
Amounts
Purchase dates
Gift card codes
Selling gift cards online
You can sell digital gift cards through the customer app or web booking tool.
How to enable online sales
Go to Settings → Admin → Pickup and Delivery → General Settings.
Enable Sell Gift Cards.
This adds a gift card section to your app and booking tool.
How it works
Customers can purchase digital gift cards online.
Recipients receive them via SMS or Email.
The amount is automatically applied as credit to the recipient’s account.
Important notes
You must create a gift card product before enabling online sales.
The standard daily limit is 3 gift card purchases per customer account. In special cases, this can be increased to a maximum of 20.
The maximum gift card value is one million units.
The minimum purchase is $5.
Limits are system-controlled and cannot be overridden.
FAQs
Can customers use gift cards for tips?
Can customers use gift cards for tips?
No. Gift cards cannot cover tips. You can manually deduct the tip amount from the gift card balance in CRM → Edit Customer → Credit, then distribute tips to staff from the till.
How do customers redeem a physical gift card?

Staff must enter the gift card code either during order creation or at the payment stage. The balance will apply automatically.
