KYC Requirements
To onboard your store with CleanCloud Pay, we will require you to get the below documentation ready for the KYC checks to complete, to make sure you are compliant with our system.
๐ Know Your Customer (KYC) standards are designed to protect financial institutions against fraud, corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing.
It's very important to follow these guidelines exactly. The documentation required for the KYC checks is as follows:
1. Identity Verification
1. ID document that belongs to the account holder (ID card, driving licence or passport).
2. Must be valid (cannot be expired).
3. The copy must be in colour and very clear, with no background.
2. Company Verification
All company information required for onboarding must match exactly with what is in the business registry and national register.
The legal entity name (must match exactly the name in the business registry).
Business registration number (must exactly match the format as present in the national register).
Legal address.
Tax number.
Please ensure you have proof of your Tax Number/Business Number, such as a copy of your business incorporation ready to upload.
3. Bank Account Verification
CleanCloud Pay will verify the bank account is owned by the account holder to ensure that we are paying out to a KYC party.
๐ Important: Upload a proof of bank account. This can be a bank statement, a screenshot of the online banking environment, or a bank confirmation letter.
๐ Requirements:
The account holder's name.
Account number.
Name or logo of the bank.
Dated less than a year ago.
Connecting to CleanCloud Pay
Once you have gathered all the above documentation/information, please go to Settings > Admin > Payments & Finances > Payments > โConnect to CleanCloud Payโ.
You will be taken through the online form to start the onboarding process. Make sure you read through the T&Cs and click โSubmitโ.
๐ก Pro tips:
Business or Individual: If you do not have a registered company with your local/national authority, please select "Individual" from the drop down option on the form.
Tax ID: You do not need to enter in a tax number in this section - it would be your company number.
State/Province: Please look up the abbreviation code for your State or Province as it may vary. It is usually a two- or three-letter code (e.g. London = LDN). If you are unsure, please search online for the specific code for your location.
Website: Please ensure that you include โhttps://โ at the start of your domain name when entering it.
After you have filled out all the information needed, you can click on โComplete Additional Informationโ to move to the next step in setting up CleanCloud Pay.
