Efficient order management is essential for any laundry service. CleanCloud’s drag-and-drop machines page feature simplifies this by allowing you to assign orders to washers, dryers, and other stages with ease. Here’s how to activate and make the most of this feature.

Activating the Drag-and-Drop Machines Page

  1. Navigate to Settings → Admin → Workflow → Washers and Dryers → Settings.

  2. Enable Key Options:

    • Assign Orders to Washers and Dryers: This option lets you assign orders to specific machines.

    • Use Drag-n-Drop Machines Page: Activates the drag-and-drop interface for managing orders.

  3. Click Submit to save.

Once activated, the Machines tab will appear next to the Cleaning tab at the top of the page.

Using the Drag-and-Drop Interface

The drag-and-drop interface works smoothly on desktops and touch-friendly devices like tablets and iPads, allowing staff to move order cards between columns with ease.

Manage Order Stages

The page is organized into columns for different stages, such as To-Do, Washers, Waiting, Dryers, Ironing, Folding, and Completed.

🪄 Tip: Waiting, Ironing, and Folding columns can be enabled through Settings → Admin → Workflow → Washers and Dryers.

Assign Orders

Drag orders from To-Do to the desired column. When assigning to washers or dryers, select cycle time, temperature, and the machine. You can also log a cash payout if needed and add order notes.

Cycle Completion

After a cycle, use the green “+” button for additional cycles, if required. Move orders to Completed once they’re finished to update their status automatically to Ready.

Splitting Orders and Machines

You can split an order across multiple machines or stages, or add multiple orders to a single machine.

  • Split Orders Across Stages: Assign portions of an order to separate machines simultaneously, such as both washers and dryers.

  • Keep Orders in To-Do: Enable the Keep Order(s) To-Do toggle if only part of an order is moving to the next stage.

Enhanced Order Filtering

Use the latest filtering options for focused order management:

  • Click on the order card number (e.g., 2/2) to view only that order.

  • To reset the view, click the “x” in the corner.

Custom Cycles and Cycle Modifiers

Easily add custom cycles to washers and dryers, now with color-coding for quick identification. You can also use the Modifiers feature to apply extra charges per cycle.

This article will guide you through the process of creating and using Custom Cycles and Cycle Modifiers.
