This article provides a step-by-step guide to setting up the Zebra/Symbol LS2208 Barcode Scanner within CleanCloud.
Getting Started
Connect the Scanner: Plug the scanner into your computer using the USB cable.
Set the Scanner Mode: Scan the following barcode to configure the scanner into "Carriage Return/Line Feed" mode:
CleanCloud Settings Configuration
Go to Settings → Hardware and select the Barcode Scanner section.
Toggle the Use Barcode Scanner option on and press the Update button.
Here, you can also select the Barcode Action on Scan. After this setup, the software should interpret barcodes printed from CleanCloud correctly.
Troubleshooting
If your barcode scanner doesn’t work when scanning a receipt, the most common issue is that it is not submitting an Enter or Carriage Return command after each scan.
1. Reset the Scanner: If this occurs, reset the scanner by scanning this barcode:
2. Reconfigure the Scanner: After resetting, revisit the CleanCloud Settings Configuration section and scan the Carriage Return barcode again before attempting to scan the CleanCloud receipt.
