Using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Meta Pixel (formerly known as Facebook Pixel) for ad tracking in CleanCloud allows you to monitor and measure the success of your advertising campaigns directly within the platform. By integrating these tools, you can:

  • Identify which ads perform best.

  • Gain insights into your audience's engagement.

  • Measure the effectiveness of your ad spend.

  • Calculate the return on investment (ROI) for your campaigns, helping you allocate your budget more effectively.

Getting Started

1. Create Ad Campaigns

  • Start by setting up an ad campaign in Google Ads or Facebook Ads.

  • Ensure that conversion tracking is enabled. Google/Facebook will provide you with a JavaScript snippet (code) that needs to be embedded on your website.

🗒️ Notes:

2. Embed the Tracking Code

  • Once you've inserted the code/snippet on your website, CleanCloud will automatically detect it and start sending events to Google/Facebook.

  • When a customer clicks on your ad and uses the web booking tool, CleanCloud will notify Google/Facebook when the customer signs up and when they create an order. This enables you to track how well your ad campaigns are converting visitors into paying customers.

  • To embed the CleanCloud booking tool on your website, navigate to Settings → Admin → Pickup and Delivery → Embed Your Store and choose either the second or third option. For detailed instructions, refer to the guide How to Link or Embed Your Store.

Events Tracked by CleanCloud

ⓘ Important: Tracking applies only to the web booking tool and does not extend to app downloads.

CleanCloud sends the following events to your ad platforms:

Google Analytics Events

sign_up

Triggered when a user signs up.

login

Triggered when a user logs in.

purchase

Triggered when a user completes a purchase.

Meta Pixel Events

CompleteRegistration

Triggered when a user completes their registration.

Purchase

Triggered when a user completes a purchase.

These events include the total order value, although this value might be incomplete if customers are not prompted to select items/garments.

📊 Advertising Tracking in Metrics

To gain insights into your ad performance, go to Settings → Metrics → Advertising in your CleanCloud account. This feature allows you to compare your ad spend (e.g., Google Ads) with the total order value from customers who clicked on your ads.

For example, if you spent $2,000 on Google PPC last month, set the signup date range for that month and the order date range from that month to today. This lets you evaluate the return on your ad investment by comparing your spending to the total value of orders from those customers.

Filtering Options

  • Source: Filter by the origin of the traffic (e.g., Google, Facebook).

  • Campaign: Filter by specific campaign names.

  • Term: Filter by keywords or terms used in the ads.

  • Medium: Filter by the type of ad medium (e.g., CPC, email).

  • Customer Signed Up: See which customers signed up through the campaign.

  • Order Created: View the orders created as a result of the campaign.

The results will be displayed in a table, showing customers and the sum value of their orders based on your selected filters.
