Here are answers to the most common questions about getting started and managing payroll through CleanCloud.

1. How long does it take to set up and run my first payroll?

We recommend allowing two weeks. If all required information is available, setup can be completed in under a week.


2. Are there any additional costs?

No. CleanCloud Payroll is a flat rate of $40/month per store, plus $5/month per employee.


3. Can I set up a time-off policy with Gusto?

Yes. Please contact CleanCloud support for assistance.


4. Can I cancel a payroll?

Yes, as long as it’s before the 4 PM PT submission deadline.


5. Can I add company benefits to my payroll?

Yes. See our article: Add & Manage Benefit Deductions for more information.


6. Can I add a Workers' Comp policy?

Yes. Share your policy details with CleanCloud support, and we’ll ensure the correct deductions are added.


7. Can I add wage garnishments for employees?

Yes. CleanCloud support can help set up wage garnishments for financial obligations like child support.


8. How long does it take for staff to get paid?

Direct deposits take 2 business days. One-day direct deposits are available on request. Payments by check are instant.


9. Can I pay both W-2 employees and 1099 contractors?

Yes. As long as you have at least one W-2 employee, you can also pay 1099 contractors.


10. Can CleanCloud run my payroll for me?

Yes, if you are paying salaried employees. Contact support to activate AutoPilot for hands-free payroll processing.


11. Where do I edit my State Tax Information?

Go to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payroll. Click the dropdown next to Gusto Onboarding Form, then select Edit State → Open.


12. What if staff forget to clock in or out?

You can easily edit or create shifts manually in the POS.


13. Where can I find company forms filed by Gusto?

Go to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payroll, click the dropdown by Gusto Onboarding Form, and select Company Forms.
