When using the Assembly feature, you can define how much of an assembly slot a product occupies in your plant. This ensures that space is utilized efficiently and effectively during the assembly process.

Setup Requirements

  1. Enable Heat Seals: Ensure the Heat Seal feature is active in your account. To do this, navigate to Settings → Hardware → Heat Seals.

How to Set Slot Space for Products

  1. Go to Settings → Products.

  2. Click the edit pencil next to the product you wish to adjust.

  3. Under Slot Space, choose the appropriate option, which ranges from 0% to 300%:

    • 33%: The product takes up 1/3 of a slot.

    • 50%: The product takes up 1/2 of a slot.

    • 66%: The product takes up 2/3 of a slot.

    • 100%: The product requires a full slot.

    • For larger items that need more space, increase the slot percentage accordingly (e.g., 300% = 3 slots).

  4. If you do not want the item to be sent to the conveyor, select the Skip Conveyor option.

Split Tickets by Slot Space

For more advanced workflows, you can now split tickets based on product slot space. This adds greater flexibility in managing your orders.

To enable this feature:

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Workflow → General Settings.

  2. In the Split Tickets by Slot Space (0 for no limit) field, enter the desired limit. By default, there is no limit, and the maximum sum of slot space will trigger an order split.

This feature helps manage orders more effectively and ensures that conveyor space is used optimally.
