When using the Assembly feature, you can specify how much of an assembly slot a product occupies in your plant, ensuring efficient use of space.

Setup Requirements

  • Enable Heat Seals: Ensure the Heat Seal feature is active in your account via Settings → Hardware → Heat Seals.

How to Set Slot Space for Products

  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.

  2. Click the edit pencil next to the desired product.

  3. Under Slot Space, choose the appropriate option:

    • 33%: The product takes up 1/3 of a slot.

    • 50%: The product takes up 1/2 of a slot.

    • 66%: The product takes up 2/3 of a slot.

    • 100%: The product requires a full slot.

    • For larger items needing more space, increase the slot percentage accordingly (e.g., 300% = 3 slots).

  4. If you don't want an item to be sent to the conveyor, select the option Do Not Send to Conveyor.

Split Tickets by Slot Space

For advanced workflows, you can now split tickets based on product slot space, providing greater flexibility in order management.

To enable:

  1. Go to SettingsAdminWorkflowGeneral Settings.

  2. In the Split Tickets by Slot Space field, enter the desired limit. There is no limit by default. The maximum sum of slot space will trigger an order split.

This feature allows you to manage orders more effectively, ensuring that your conveyor space is optimally used.
