Learn how to set up and manage manual payroll in CleanCloud, including assigning wages, configuring settings, and running payroll reports.

CleanCloud accounts include the Manual Payroll feature, allowing you to easily manage payroll through your account, making the process efficient and hassle-free.

How to Get Started with Payroll

1. Assign Hourly Wages

Ensure that you’ve assigned an hourly wage to all your staff members who will be included in your payroll. You can do this when adding a new user or editing an existing user:

  • Go to Settings → Admin → Users → Manage User Accounts → Add User.


2. Configure Payroll Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payroll.

  2. Under the ‘Payroll’ section, configure the following key elements to generate the payroll report:

    • Weekly Overtime Hours Limit: Set the weekly overtime hours limit (typically 40 hours in the US and UK). This helps distinguish regular hours from overtime hours.

    • Overtime Wage Multiplier: Enter the overtime multiplier (commonly 1.5x) to calculate overtime pay if employees work beyond the weekly limit.

    • Payroll Cycle: Choose the billing cycle for payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).

    • Payroll Start Date: Set the payroll start date. This date determines when payroll calculations begin, based on clocking in/out hours.

    • Calculate Tips at the Same Time as Payroll: Toggle this on/off to include tips in the payroll report.

  3. Press Submit to save changes.


3. Running Payroll Reports

To generate a payroll report, navigate to Settings → Users → Payroll. Here, you can access and customize the report. Adjust regular hours, overtime hours, or include bonuses for your employees as needed.
