Auto Charge Saved Card is a feature that automatically charges a customer's saved card when their order is marked as Cleaned and moved to the Ready page. This streamlines payment processing, especially for Pickup & Delivery orders, eliminating the need for drivers to handle payments.
How to Enable Auto Charge Saved Card
Navigate to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payments.
Find the setting “Auto Charge Saved Card When Order Cleaned”.
Select from the following options:
Never – Auto charge is disabled.
All Orders – Auto charge applies to all orders.
All Orders & Group Payments – Charges customers with multiple orders that have the same Ready Date in one grouped payment.
Pickup & Delivery Only – Auto charge applies only to pickup & delivery orders.
Pickup & Delivery Only & Group Payments – Charges grouped pickup & delivery orders with the same Ready Date in one payment.
Click Submit to save changes.
Auto Charge Saved Card Failure Notification
If a payment attempt fails, CleanCloud will display a banner notification: “Auto Card Payment failed for order ID.” This ensures staff is notified to contact the customer for an alternative payment method.
Customer Notification for Failed Payments
To notify customers automatically when a payment fails:
Go to Settings → Admin → Notifications → General Settings.
Toggle “When Auto Charge Saved Card Fails” to ON.
