A DoorDash order can be cancelled until the point a Dasher is assigned to either the pickup or delivery portion of the order. After this stage, the order cannot be altered or cancelled.
Accepting or Rejecting DoorDash Journeys
When a customer submits a DoorDash order, a notification will appear in your DoorDash notifications in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.
If you have activated the “Require journey confirmation” option, you have the ability to either Accept or Reject the DoorDash journeys, as illustrated below:
Cancelling a DoorDash Journey
After acceptance, the order will become visible on the schedule screen.
When the order's status is “Scheduled” and no driver has been assigned, you retain the ability to cancel the order.
To cancel, simply click the “Cancel” button located at the top-right of the schedule screen, as indicated below:
If you cancel your order within the allotted timeframe, the credit will be refunded to your account.
Even after a driver has been assigned, and the status is “Driver Assigned”, you can still cancel the delivery part of the order if it remains in the “Scheduled” state.
💸 Important: If you have cancelled an order within the specified time frame and have not seen your credits refunded, please contact our support specialists. We will have a look into this issue with DoorDash on your behalf.
