Cancelling a DoorDash Order

Discover the process of cancelling a DoorDash order and the specific points up to which cancellation is feasible.

A DoorDash order can be cancelled until the point a Dasher is assigned to either the pickup or delivery portion of the order. After this stage, the order cannot be altered or cancelled.

Accepting or Rejecting DoorDash Journeys

  • When a customer submits a DoorDash order, a notification will appear in your DoorDash notifications in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.

  • If you have activated the “Require journey confirmation” option, you have the ability to either Accept or Reject the DoorDash journeys, as illustrated below:

Cancelling a DoorDash Journey

  • After acceptance, the order will become visible on the schedule screen.

  • When the order's status is “Scheduled” and no driver has been assigned, you retain the ability to cancel the order.

  • To cancel, simply click the “Cancel” button located at the top-right of the schedule screen, as indicated below:

  • If you cancel your order within the allotted timeframe, the credit will be refunded to your account.

  • Even after a driver has been assigned, and the status is “Driver Assigned”, you can still cancel the delivery part of the order if it remains in the “Scheduled” state.

💸 Important: If you have cancelled an order within the specified time frame and have not seen your credits refunded, please contact our support specialists. We will have a look into this issue with DoorDash on your behalf.
