Setting up an ActiveCampaign account with CleanCloud

In this article, we will be looking at how to set up an ActiveCampaign account or link an existing account to CleanCloud.

Note: You will need to be on our Grow or Grow+ plan to access the ActiveCampaign settings.

Creating an ActiveCampaign account

If you don’t already have an ActiveCampaign account, you can set up an account through CleanCloud.

Go to Settings > Admin > Marketing and scroll down to the ActiveCampaign section and click “Create ActiveCampaign Account”.

This will open the ActiveCampaign website in a new tab, enter your email address to create a free trial.

Note: Once your free trial expires, you will need to pay for an account. You only need a Lite ActiveCampaign account. You can view the pricing here.

💡 Next step: After you create the account, follow the steps below to link your account with CleanCloud.

Linking an existing ActiveCampaign account

If you already have an ActiveCampaign account follow the steps below to link this with your CleanCloud account.

Go to Settings > Admin > Marketing and scroll down to the ActiveCampaign section, you will see an area to enter “ActiveCampaign API URL” and “ActiveCampaign API Key”. You will find these details in your ActiveCampaign account.

Login to your ActiveCampaign account and go to Settings > Developer, here you will see an option to copy the URL and Key.

Paste these in the relevant fields in CleanCloud and click “Connect with ActiveCampaign”.

If the connection is successful you should now see a button to sync your existing customers with ActiveCampaign.

Clicking “Sync Existing Customers with ActiveCampaign” will import a list of your CleanCloud customers into ActiveCampaign as “Contacts”.
