This article will walk you through setting up the Star Micronics mC-Print3 for use with CleanCloud for use wirelessly with a PC, Mac, iPad or Android tablet.

Connecting to LAN

  1. Connect an Ethernet/LAN cable to your network router. Typically, the LAN cable is connected to the same router that is providing Wi-Fi for your device (iPad for example).

  2. Connect the other end of the LAN cable to the Ethernet port located on the printer.

  3. Optional: Perform a "self-print" to determine the IP address of your printer.


Setting up Printer in CleanCloud

  1. On your device, sign in to Cleancloud as an Admin. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Hardware > Receipt Printer.

  2. Under "Printer Manufacturer/Type" select "Star webPRNT".

  3. Under "IP Address" input the numbers that were printed in the "self-print". Normally it looks like 192.168.1.XX.


Setting up Wireless Connection for mC-Print3

For wireless functionality, you'll need to purchase the Star MCW10 Wireless LAN Module separately.

This module plugs directly into the mC-Print3, providing a compact wireless LAN solution that supports the latest WPA3 standard for secure wireless printer communication.


Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: How to reset the printer to factory default settings?

  • Turn the printer off and follow these steps:

    • Insert a tool into the RESET hole on the back.

    • While holding RESET, press and release POWER.

    • Release RESET when the green Network LED flashes.

    • Press the feed button to choose the interface(s) to reset (LAN, Bluetooth, or both).

    • Hold FEED to confirm the selection. The printer will reset to factory defaults.
