Add a Previously Dismissed Employee in CleanCloud Payroll

Learn how to add a previously dismissed employee to CleanCloud Payroll so you can report missing payroll history accurately.

If you need to report payroll for a dismissed employee who was never added to Gusto, you can manually enter them in your account. Once added, they’ll appear under Dismissed Employees, and you’ll be able to report their past payrolls.


How to Add a Previously Dismissed Employee

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Payments & Finances → Payroll.

  2. Click the dropdown menu by Gusto Onboarding Form.

  3. Select Historical/Previous Payroll Data.

  4. Click Open.

  5. Click Add Dismissed Employee.

  6. Enter the employee’s details. You may need to contact the former employee to gather the following:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Social Security Number (SSN)

    • Birthdate

    • Work address

    • Start date

    • Last employed date

    • Home address

  7. Click Save.

Once saved, the employee will be listed as Dismissed, and you can proceed to enter any missing payroll history for them.
